Reading Week

After finishing off a couple term test and midterms, reading week has finally come. As much as I would have liked to play a lot of poker, I had some other stuff planned, which was rather enjoyable.

One of them being a snow trip. We headed up to Blue Mountain where a bunch of us were going to Snowboard. After Snowboarding for the first 3 hours or so, we were all pretty horrible. Getting up was hard, falling hurt, so we all had sore asses and knees. We then decided to switch to skiing. Well it started a bit difficult, but after making a couple runs, I was no long doing V stops and was doing Ss pretty good. By the end of the trip I was going to test my skills on the longer slope (from top to bottom) aka HAPPY VALLEY. I can say it was a long ride up. And I was going down quite smoothly until I was doing my S and either I lost control due to the momentum or my skis got caught in the snow, and well, I was thrown a good 10 metres or so. Some skiiers passing by got my skis, asked if I was ok and I had a couple friends behind who helped me put them back on. I finished the slope and decided to walk back to the meeting place as I was sore everywhere from that tumble and in no mood to ski more difficult slopes back to the car (considering I had a hard time getting up if I fell down).

Now its the weekend, so maybe I'll enter a big one before school starts and give it a go! GL to everyone this weekend. Except for you cursive multi accounters. Giving false explanations about their Grandma's playing!
