Im feeling Elite....out of the rut on PokerStars

After having a great day yesterday. I played 1 tourney and final tabled it. While also winning it with a couple suck outs Wink...for those who don't know. In my previous blog I mentioned the Elite 9 tourney. Well I happened to take it down. Played some good and bad poker. But the cards ran well for me and I took first for a cool $150 (probably play the 100K on AP on Saturday) o.O

So coming home today after class, I turned up the ol computer and was ready to get back into action. Well I was 5 minutes late for the AP tourneys (OOPS). So it would be full concentration on my PS $10.

1st Break: 2200 in chips

2nd Break: 6000 ish in chips

3rd Break 90000 in chips (AA all in vs KK, AJ hits a flush, TT wins a race, 55 wins a decent pot with all in and check downer)

4th break. Ran a bluff against a LAG (loose agressive player) and he cut out 60% of my stack. But I got it back after taking couple hands down pf and then getting it in KK vs AQ with him. Went as high as 160K and ended @ 120K at break

We were @ 18 peopleI then went on a horrible run of cards. Raises in front everywhere and not a hand in the world to defend. Made stands with AJ and AK. KQ called 2:1 and won. QT took out 11th player and then we were at final table

I won a quick all in from an aggy player with AJ vs A4 to give me chips to move around. And then what do you know, I get respect. WEEE chips come my way. I get up to 500 ish in chips. I get to see a flop from SB against a limper. I flop a flush. I chk, BB bets pot, limper pushed (same as bet pretty much) and I push to hoping I win the nice pot. Linper flopped set of 5s and rivers house Sad down to 350K ish in chips

Win some msall pots just evening it out for the big hand (currently 4 handed).

5th break. I got 240K They talk about a chop at break. One guy says i'll agree to anything. They have me outchipped 1mill, 800K, 240K me and 260K someone else. So I say "Even chop" they think and decide no lol

with 20/40K blinds I get ansy and push Q3s on the button. SB thinks and I am thinking "I hope he only has JT, only JT". Well what do you know he has JT and I flop a Q. Up to 500K. I then pick up pots to 700K

4th and 3rd go out. And He has a 2:1 chip lead, very tight. I have A3 and flop two pair. He turns a up and down gut shot and bets while I raise. in 1/2 my stack. And push it on the river when he hits (OOPS).

$2000 win. So I'm def happy. Now I am only $48K away from hitting my goal for the year.

Oh yeah, I'm ELITE

Haha, one the main forums I frequently visit and am home to, www.pokeranalysis.com, had a poll to determine the elite 9 players of PA (Acronym for the forum). I just happen to slip in. The prize for this is a $500 Freeroll Sit-And-Go with the other 8.

The other 8 being:
kelarob (A MTT beast like myself. Hes been killing them as of late and had a great finish recently in Pacific 100K tourney for a couple Ks)
Celine423 (I would categorize her as being the top 2/3 females on PA. She has a strong game and great finishes to back it up)
crip_17 (Another young gun poker player who had some dominating summer finishes. Hes in a rut like myself as of late but just came off a $900 win)
mitchell1204 (Always improving and had two WSOPC cashes as well a 7K win this year)
bobby7 (Like facing a Tornado in Omaha Hi/Lo, you wouldn't want to sit down against him HU) ;)
msg630 (PA Freeroll League and Buy-in League champ in the same month, a feat never accomplished by another *I think)
fitchjr
deviljoe

The other 2, I don't know much of. They appeared in the League after I stopped playing some of the tourneys there.

There were also a bunch of other players who could have also made it and probably should of. But I won't discuss any poker politics *YET.

Also, SNGs are one of my worst aspect of poker since I hardly play them. I'll probably play a couple this week to get use to the feel of playing them.

In a rut, hope it ends today...STONE COLD NUTZ

Well, I haven't posted in a while. Probably because of school and losing on the online felt. I've been getting beat with decent holdings where I am ahead by a decent margin. So I'm going to rack up this lesson to variance and hope I continue to play well and have it pay off.

Tonight I decided to play the $100+9 Stone COld Nutz Satelite. Over 500 played, so 100 seats were given out. I cashed for a seat and will be playing today. Hopefully I'll Final Table and have a big cash which will allow me to play a lot of tourneys I wanted to and get ready for my big summer, World Series Of Poker. Else, its back to grinding the felt again (errr, not in a sexual way).

Peace! Hopefully you guys (the one of two that read this! lol) are running better than me.

Kevin
